Motorhome, anyone? Lorinser breathes new life into Puch 230GE…

Lorinser’s classic department has made some tasteful revisions to this 1993 Puch 230GE (effectively a Mercedes-Benz G-Class with different badges), transforming it into quite the motorhome.

The restoration stays largely true to the original Swiss army production model but adds a smattering of discreet modern touches.

The exterior has been finished in a green-grey matte paint, complemented by a canopy featuring a map design. You’ll also notice the 16-inch DOTZ steel wheels wrapped in Goodrich all-terrain tyres. Additional equipment includes a trailer coupling (rated for 3 500 kg), a new locking system, LED headlamps, solar panels and a number of camping essentials.

Amenities inside include a microwave, sink, shower, expandable two-person bed and auxiliary heating. Up front, the driver and passenger seats have been reupholstered in partial synthetic leather and alpaca grey Alcantara.

The 230 GE employs a 2,3-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel engine (with 88 000 km on the clock), delivering 85 kW though a four-speed automatic transmission. It also features a 4×4 system with a rear differential lock.

Lorinser has listed this special creation for €69 900 (roughly R1,4-million).
