The folks over at MS-RT have turned their attention to the Ford Transit Connect after unveiling the R-Spec Transit Custom back in 2017. And thanks to an angry body kit, it’ll certainly make pedestrians take a second look (even if it’s stock under the bonnet).

Built by the rally specialists in South Wales, this Transit Connect gains a plastic injection-moulded body kit that includes new bumpers, grille, front and rear diffusers, side-skirts and spoiler. In addition, MS-RT has fitted a stainless steel sports exhaust with quad-tailpipes as well as OZ Racing alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin tyres.

Inside, you’ll find a carbon inlay sports steering wheel as well as Nappa leather and suede upholstery. The firm also supplies a gift pack that includes a special branded bag filled with car care products.

All models comes standard with LED loadspace lighting, a premium infotainment pack with navigation and a reversing camera, bi-xenon headlamps and twin side-loading doors. The vehicle can optionally be fitted with bronze alloy wheels, a Maxhaust exhaust, a rally sticker pack, black exhaust tips and a full carbon steering wheel.

Deliveries will take place later in 2019 with a long-wheelbase version joining the line-up in 2020. The manual variant is priced at £23 995 (that’s around R444 000) while the automatic will set you back £24 995 (about R462 500). Some 40 launch edition models will kick off the production run, each sporting a Magnetic Grey paintjob with custom alloy wheels, a unique interior, a special sticker pack and a numbered plaque.
