The momentum of Bentley’s ongoing sales successes has seen the British brand pave a roadmap that is prepared to expand its portfolio into the near future. A new Bentley model has been teased with a vague image, date and time of its reveal with the caption ‘long-awaited’ as accompanying text.
While we don’t know exactly what this will translate into, the automaker says it is planning to unveil their new product on May 10. This could potentially be a brand new product or the potential of being a longer wheelbase Bentayga which has been in the works and recently spied under winter weather testing.
The Crewe manufacturer is capitalising on the wave of success they have been experiencing after delivering 14,569 vehicles last year; a 31% increase in sales from a pandemic-ridden 2020.
Back to the image which leaves much to the imagination and our speculation. The shot, dominated by a tinge of purple LED lighting, would logically signify that this is an interior integrated door speaker on a door panel of their upcoming model. The 15 rhomboid decorative details further echo this, and would match almost perfectly to the existing Bentayga model considering it employs the rhomboid pattern too.
While this is all speculation, it is further substantiated by Bentley’s statement that the new model will provide “an extra dimension of onboard wellness”, implying that it is a larger, luxury vehicle than an all-out performance derivative.
All signs for the fifth and newest member to be added to Bentley’s portfolio on the 10th of May thus corroborate the fact that this could indeed be the longer wheelbase derivative of the Bentayga. We fortunately won’t have to wait very long to find out what the new Bentley model will end up being!
