At the 2025 Volkswagen Indaba, the local arm of the German marque announced a raft of new models, including the addition of box-fresh derivatives to its current product portfolio, will be launched in South Africa over the coming 12 months. Among these are brand-new entry-level versions of the automaker’s popular T-Cross compact crossover/SUV. As a reminder, the current T-Cross line-up comprises a trio of derivatives, each equipped with the carmaker’s familiar 85 kW 1.0-litre turbo-triple petrol powertrain and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Available in Life, Style and R-Line levels of specification, the three-strong range is priced from R471 400.

Priced from R418 200, the DSG-equipped base derivative’s three-cylinder produces 85 kW.
