We recently brought you the starting price for the new Hyundai Venue range in South Africa, but now we have unearthed full pricing for the local line-up of the firm’s new baby SUV.
As we pointed out in that original story, the line-up will comprise five variants at launch, each powered by the Korean firm’s turbocharged 1,0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine (likely offering 88 kW and 172 N.m, as it does in the Kona).
In SA, the Venue range will start with the entry-level Motion trim level, offered in conjunction with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The mid-spec Fluid model will likewise be available with these two cog-swapper choices, while the flagship Glide variant will be offered exclusively in dual-clutch form.
Interestingly, however, we now know mid-spec Fluid models will also be available in dual-tone form (likely with a black roof), adding R5 000 to the price.

The fresh-faced Venue, revealed at the 2019 New York International Auto Show in April, slots in at the bottom of the Korean brand’s burgeoning SUV range, below the Kona and Creta. The Venue will be produced in South Korea and India, with SA-spec models imported from the latter.
