This is the GT-R Drone built and developed by Nissan to film high-speed footage of the super fast GT-R.
Nissan says it is the world’s fastest accelerating drone, with a 0-100 km/h time of just 1,3 seconds, a top speed of 185 km/h and a sharp turning circle of 0,3-metres. It will make its first appearance at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The GT-R Drone was designed by World Drone Prix Champions, Tornado XBlades Racing, and uses a special race-tuned configuration and low-drag canopy to achieve this formidable acceleration time. To showcase its performance, the team pitted it against the recently facelifted GT-R on Silverstone Circuit.
Propulsion is provided via four propellers mated to 2000 kV XNova motors and a race-specification Sky-Hero quadcopter frame.
