The Nissan Magnite Kuro has joined the lineup of Magnite models in South Africa, fitting in between the Nissan Magnite Accenta and Accenta Plus CVT. “Kuro,” derived from the Japanese word for ‘black,’ aptly summarises the colour palette and aesthetic.

Visually, the Magnite Kuro special edition boasts an all-black exterior and interior as the nameplate suggests. Featuring a black grille, skid plate, roof rails and 16-inch black alloy wheels with red brake callipers, it also comes with headlamps sporting black finishers and special badges to differentiate it from other Magnite variants.
Inside, the Kuro edition is equipped with a gloss black instrument panel, black interior accents and door trim inserts. It includes an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, a six-speaker sound system and cruise control. Additional features comprise a 360-degree camera, a centre console armrest with rear AC vents, wider IRVM, floor mats and a wireless smartphone charger.

Despite its all-black presence and dark interiors, the SA edition offers four exterior colour options: black, white, silver and red. Under the metal, the Magnite Kuro Edition retains the turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, generating 74 kW of power sent to the front wheels. The unit delivers 160 N.m of torque with the five-speed manual gearbox or a reduced 152 N.m with the optional CVT.
