The Nissan Navara single-cab range has officially been introduced to South Africa following the introduction of the double-cab model. The new locally built body style caters to local business owners with what the brand describes as robust capabilities, reliability and versatility.
The Nissan Navara single-cab will be available with 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrains with manual transmissions only. Kicking off the range is the XE which comes standard with electrically adjustable door mirrors, halogen headlamps PVC seat upholstery, one 12V outlet and two airbags. This can be had with the brand’s naturally aspirated 2,5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 118 kW and 223 N.m of torque via a six-speed manual gearbox at R316 700. This sports a payload figure of 1 065 kg. The turbodiesel 2,5-litre four-pot, priced at R355 700, delivers 120 kW and 403 N.m and can carry a payload of 1 144 kg.
One above this is the SE which is available with the turbodiesel only but can be had as a 4×2 at R430 700 or 4×4 at R496 700. As standard it gets an additional 12V socket as well as a USB port, electric windows, fabric seats, remote central locking, an audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, multifunction steering wheel, side and curtain airbags and an array of safety systems such as brake assist, vehicle dynamic control, trailer stability assist and hill start assist. The 4×4 model also gets hill descent control. The 4×2 can carry a payload of 1 132 kg while the 4×4 1 119 kg.
The top of LE trim is available in 4×2 and 4×4 as well with a price of R461 700 and R534 000 respectively. With this, halogen foglamps, an 8,0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a rear-facing camera and cruise control is added. The payload for these models is 1 083 kg for the 4×2 and 1 069 kg for the 4×4.
All Nissan Navara single-cab models come standard with a six-year/90 000 km service plan and six-year/150 000 km warranty.
