South Africa’s successful half ton bakkie, the NP200, will be receiving some slight enhancements as it enters the holiday season to maintain itself as a competitive product.
The interior of the NP200 will receive a more appealing design through the implementation of new materials and equipment such as upholstery, a revised audio system (on specific models) and refreshed controls on the centre console. The NP200 aims to offer more of a luxurious experience with the help of a hard-wearing black textured fabric and vinyl inlay on seat bolsters and sides.
The mid and high-grade NP200 will also come equipped with a new audio system that features radio, CD and MP3, USB port, audio jack and Bluetooth functionality. Finishing touches of the controls will be made more premium with black and chrome dials for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system to match the passenger and crossover range.
It is unlikely that the NP200 will receive any mechanical upgrades but those interested will have the opportunity to purchase one just before the holiday season begins.
