In order to give us a glimpse into what we can expect from the future, Nissan has unveiled four unique concept cars. These three designs represent the brand’s push towards electrification with the promise of 23 new products by 2030.
Over the next ten years, the brand says it will deliver exciting, electrified vehicles and technological innovations while expanding its operations globally. The vision supports the Japanese brand’s goal to be carbon neutral across the life cycle of its products by fiscal year 2050.
Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida stated: “The role of companies to address societal needs is increasingly heightened. With Nissan Ambition 2030, we will drive the new age of electrification, advance technologies to reduce carbon footprint and pursue new business opportunities. We want to transform Nissan to become a sustainable company that is truly needed by customers and society.”
The Nissan Surf-Out concept represents the brand’s commercial and lifestyle bakkie offering. A new idea added to this design consists of a futuristic lighting setup with a transparent grille that looks into the interior. It also sports an e-FORCE all-wheel drive system with an onboard generator for constant adventuring.
The Nissan Max-Out concept looks into the brands’ sportscar offering which its low ride-height, sleek lines, flared arches and open-top structure. The two-seater also boasts a simplistic interior with a configurable floor.
The Nissan Hang-Out concept carries through the brand’s dedication to compact crossovers with its boxy structure. This model sports a unique set of wheels, futuristic LED lighting and a sleek roof box.
The cabin is also customisable with the ability to create a social setting by twisting the front seats around. A tall roof design means that headroom is generous. The cabin has also been fitted with a projector display to turn the concept into a miniature cinema experience.
The Nissan Chill-Out concept is the most conventional design with it adopting a largely mainline crossover design, contrasted by the sleek panels and LED headlamp cluster.
