The current-generation Nissan X-Trail is set to receive its first facelift next year, and this updated US-spec Nissan Rogue provides a fair indication of what we can expect.
The facelift applied to the Rogue includes a revised interior and exterior, along with some added safety and engine options.
Changes to the front end include a revised version of the signature “V-Motion” grille, fresh headlamps with LEDs, and new fog-lamps. Chrome detailing, new taillamp clusters and a set of 19-inch alloy wheels have also been added to the package. A rear spoiler and panoramic roof, meanwhile, now feature on the options list.
The cabin gains a new steering wheel, gear shifter, and door and instrument panel finish to give the crossover more of a premium feel. The infotainment system also seems to be updated to a 5,0-inch or optional 7,0-inch touchscreen.
The safety shield pack seen on some Infiniti models also makes its way onto the options list. This features blind spot warnings, lane departure assist and autonomous braking.
In the US, the Nissan Rogue will be available with a new 2,5-litre hybrid system, although this powertrain is unlikely to make it to South Africa.
