If you thought Pagani killed off the Zonda, having created more than one final editions, you would be wrong. This is the Pagani Zonda MD and it’s basically a one-off edition based on the Revolucion from 2013. The built-to-order MD makes use of a visual enhancement and some unique mechanical changes.
The MD moniker is sourced from the owner’s initials who apparently wanted a Zonda in a completely exposed carbon fiber body layered with a thin blue paint (applied to the GT3 spec rear wing as well). Other visual cues include the matte black wheels with black brake calipers and a few aero mods including a roof-mounted scoop.
The interior makes use of the blue carbon material for the trim as well as a unique set of brown leather and beige Alcantara seats. The Zonda MD has been fitted with a manual transmission to deliver power to the rear wheels from the Mercedes-Benz sourced 7,3-litre V12 engine delivering 559 kW.
The reasons for “MD” choosing the Zonda over the current Huayra are unknown but it is said that the owner wishes to use it for long and fast journeys.
