As a reminder, the Temerario ditches its Huracán predecessor’s 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 in favour of a 4.0-litre V8 equipped with breathing apparatus and supplemented by a trio of electric motors, which produce a combined 220 kW. An eight-speed dual-clutch transmission transfers power and torque to all four corners. The mid-mounted twin-turbocharged internal combustion (ICE) component of the Temerario’s plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain churns out a healthy 588 kW and 730 N.m of torque, available from 9 000 r/min! and 4 000 r/min, respectively.

However, thanks to the assistance of the electric motors, the petrol-electric setup’s total system output is lifted to a whopping 677 kW, allowing for a claimed 0-100 km/h sprint time of 2.7 seconds. The (1 690 kg, dry) Raging Bull tops out at 342 km/h.
The Temerario is equipped with a carbon-ceramic braking system, which comprises 410 mm front/390 mm rear discs and 10-piston front/four-piston rear callipers. Lamborghini claims a 100-0 km/h stopping distance of 32 metres.
Stepping inside, the Temerario features the firm’s redesigned Human-Machine Interface setup, which comprises digital instrumentation, touchscreen infotainment and passenger’s-side display.
Lamborghini Temerario Price in SA
The Temerario is priced from R7 525 000, which includes Lamborghini’s standard three-year/100 000 km maintenance plan (a five-year option is available at additional cost) and a three-year/unlimited km warranty. This base price excludes any additional options and is not for the forthcoming lightened Alleggerita model. This is interestingly less than the outgoing Huracán but promises even more mind-bending performance.

Lamborghini states that this comes off of the back of its most successful sales years and the economies of scale enabling production costs to decrease. With this in mind, the Italian automaker hopes that its screaming turbocharged V8 and blistering performance will entice local buyers – order books are officially open for South Africa with customers and potential buyers attending an exclusive event this evening.
