The Peugeot Landtrek double cab bakkie has officially landed in South Africa with pricing and standard features detailed. Based on the Changan K70, the new offering will be available in two trims with the choice of one drivetrain.
Kicking off the Peugeot Landtrek range is the Allure 4×2 trim at R579 900. This model includes a four-speaker system, manual air conditioning, manual adjustment for the driver and passenger seats, a centre armrest, folding rear seats, a 3,5-inch monochrome instrument cluster, electric front and rear windows, an electrochromatic rear mirror, cooled glove compartment, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, fabric seat upholstery and a multifunction steering wheel.
For safety and comfort, key features such as hill start and descent assist, front, side, and curtain airbags, cruise control with speed limiter, electronic stability and traction control with trailer stability assist, rear ISOFIX, a steel spare wheel and rear parking sensors are added to the base Peugeot Landtrek.
The flagship Peugeot Landtrek 4Action 4×4 is priced at R669 900 and adds two additional speakers, keyless entry with push start, dual-zone climate control, an electronically adjustable pair of front seats with lumbar support for the driver, a 4,2-inch digital instrument cluster, satellite navigation and leather upholstery for the seats and steering wheel.
Adding further appeal to this trim is lane keep assist, a rear diff-lock, 3D Vision park assist, an aluminium full-size spare wheel and tyre pressure monitoring.
All models come standard with the brand’s five-year/100 000 km warranty and service plan.
The Peugeot Landtrek is powered by a 1,9-litre turbodiesel four-cylinder engine which produces 110 kW and 350 N.m of torque. Both the 4×2 and 4×4 are sold with a six-speed automatic transmission exclusively.
