Porsche Cayenne S Coupe revealed with 324 kW

By: CAR magazine

Earlier this year Porsche revealed its Cayenne Coupe in standard and Turbo guises. Now the Stuttgart-based sportscar maker has expanded the line-up with the introduction of the Cayenne S Coupe, which boasts more power and some extra standard kit.

The S features the same 2,9-litre twin-turbo V6 as the entry-level Cayenne Coupe, where it develops 250 kW and 450 N.m of torque, but in this application it’s been tuned to develop 324 kW and 550 N.m of torque. That additional grunt means the S shaves one second off the standard car’s 0-100 km/h time, sprinting into triple-figure territory in 5,0 seconds and to on a top speed of 263 km/h. Fitted with the three optional lightweight sports packages drops the 0-100 km/h time to 4,9 seconds.

The Sport Chrono Package, power steering plus, 20-inch alloy wheels, front and rear park assist and Porsche’s active suspension management have been included as standard on the S.

Local pricing for this derivative has yet to be confirmed but expect it to slot in-between the Coupe and Turbo’s R1 303 000 and R2 277.
