Hyundai Automotive South Africa has quietly added three new “Limited Edition” variants to its Venue range.
The latest additions take the local line-up from five to eight derivatives (check out pricing at the bottom of this story).
While the Korean firm’s local arm has yet to release full details about the newcomers, we know the Limited Edition models will ship standard in the metallic “Denim” body colour, along with a white-painted roof and white side-mirror caps. Inside, these models gain “Denim Blue” upholstery that’s a mix of cloth and leather.
Hyundai SA has applied the Limited Edition package to the mid-spec Venue 1,0 TGDI Fluid (in both manual and dual-clutch flavours) and the range-topping Venue 1,0 TGDI Glide (which is offered exclusively with a seven-speed dual-clutch ‘box).
Interestingly, according to Hyundai SA’s website, the Limited Edition package will effectively cost you R4 600 in the case of the Fluid manual derivative and R5 000 in the case of the DCT-equipped Fluid variant. On the flagship Glide, though, the Limited Edition model is listed for exactly the same price as the model on which it is based.
As a reminder, power comes from the firm’s turbocharged 1,0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine, which offers 88 kW at 6 000 r/min and 172 N.m from 1 500 to 4 000 r/min. Sipping from a 45-litre petrol tank, the Venue will consume 6,5 L/100 km in six-speed manual guise and 6,9 L/100 km in seven-speed dual-clutch form, says Hyundai.
All models feature a three-year/45 000 km service plan along with Hyundai’s seven-year/200 000 km warranty (comprising a five-year/150 000 km warranty and an additional two-year/50 000 km powertrain warranty).
