Mazda Southern Africa has added a new Carbon Edition derivative to its CX-5 range.
The Carbon Edition effectively replaces the CX-5 2,0 Individual Auto FWD model, inheriting that variant’s specification level. Power comes from the Japanese firm’s familiar naturally aspirated 2,0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine, which generates an unchanged 121 kW and 213 N.m.
Priced at R565 800, the CX-5 2,0 Carbon Edition is set apart by its gloss-black side-mirror caps and 19-inch black metallic alloy wheels. Inside, the newcomer gains leather-and-suede trim (with red stitching) for the seats. A black finish for the facia and door panels, plus red stitching on the steering wheel, gear lever and knee pads, are also included.
The CX-5 2,0 Carbon Edition is offered in a choice of six exterior colours: Snowflake White Pearl, Sonic Silver, Machine Grey, Soul Red Crystal, Polymetal Grey and Jet Black.
As with the rest of the (unchanged) range, the CX-5 Carbon Edition ships standard with a three-year/unlimited kilometre service plan and a warranty of the same length.
