Land Rover South Africa has quietly added a new Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic Black edition to its local range.
Slotting in above the “standard” Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic, the new Black edition is priced from R3 932 800 (excluding CO2 tax ... which should amount to an additional R27 462), effectively commanding a R48 300 premium.
The British firm says the SVAutobiography Dynamic Black edition has been designed to “enhance the visual character” of this already purposeful model, combining Santorini Black Metallic paintwork with Narvik Black Gloss exterior accents, 22-inch gloss black wheels (in five split-spoke form) and branded (illuminated) treadplates. Black brake callipers are also part of the package, while the interior boasts Ebony seats with Pimento stitching.
Pixel-laser LED headlamps, a sliding panoramic roof and a powered gesture tailgate are also included, along with 24-way adjustable heated and cooled front seats (replete with a “Hot-Stone” massage function), Executive Class Comfort-Plus rear seats, Grand Black Veneer, a heated wood-and-leather steering wheel, the Meridian Signature sound system, a smartphone pack, a 360-degree camera system and park assist.
As a reminder, power comes from Land Rover’s supercharged 5,0-litre V8 petrol engine, which directs its 416 kW and 700 N.m to all four corners via an eight-speed automatic transmission. That’s enough grunt, says the Whitley-based company, for a sprint to 100 km/h in 5,3 seconds and a top speed of 225 km/h (or 250 km/h, if you tick the appropriate box).
