R-Line package for VW Golf and Beetle

Following the news of Volkswagen’s Club editions for the Beetle and Up!, Volkswagen has made another announcement concerning its R-Line package. The R-Line package was usually associated with the Touareg, Scirocco, Tiguan and VW CC, however, now it will be offered for the Golf and Beetle as well.

The package will be available on the Comfortline and Highline Golf models, and will include the following:

• 17-inch Salvador alloy wheels (Comfortline only)
• 18-inch Serron alloy wheels (Highline only)
• Front and rear bumpers in ‘R’ styling
• Rear spoiler
• Rear diffuser painted in black
• R-Line badge on the grille
• Front scuff plates with R-Line logo

The two Beetle 1,4 TSI Sport models (equipped with the 118 kW/240 N.m engine) will be offered with the following equipement:

• 19-inch Tornado alloy wheels
• Front and rear bumpers in ‘R’ styling
• Rear spoiler
• Rear diffuser painted in black
• R-Line badge on the grille
• Front scuff plates with R-Line logo
• Sport suspension

For both models, the R-Line package costs R12 500.
