Renault South Africa has released the Duster Limited Edition Explore model in celebration of selling 10 000 units of its rough-and-ready SUV on the local market.
The Explore edition – limited to just 100 units locally – is based on the petrol-powered 1,6 77kW Dynamique 4×2 derivative, but adds a number of nifty extras to the mix.
That means the specification list now includes a Duster-branded nudge bar, model-specific 16-inch alloys, wheel-arch protectors, a set of decals, and a reversing camera. The Duster Explore is available in four colours: white (non-metallic), silver, black and the blue you see in the accompanying images.
But, perhaps best of all, the Explore model comes in at the same price as the vehicle on which it is based: R258 900. Options include leather upholstery (for a further R10 000) and metallic paint (R2 500).
The naturally aspirated petrol mill under the bonnet is unchanged, providing the front wheels with 77 kW and 148 N.m. The French automaker claims a combined fuel economy of 7,6 L/100 km.
