The next-generation Audi RSA has been spotted during testing.
Although seen here as an Avant derivate, the top dog A4 will also include a sedan this time around says Autocar. That is good news, though even better news is that we’re likely to see it in 2016 as well, which is generally a lot sooner in the model’s lifecycle than RS derivatives usually appear. You’ll remember that the previous generation A4 was launched in 2008, but we only saw the RS4 in 2012.
Under the bonnet will be an all-new V6 turbo that should put out something in the region of 375 kW, which would put it on par with the Mercedes-AMG C63 S (375 kW) and have more than the BMW M3/4 (317 kW). The current generation RS4 Avant has a331 kW naturally aspirated V8.
The car seen here might be sporting an “S4” badge, but it’s clear from the big wheel arches and massive rubber that it’s indeed the more powerful RS version.
