From the beginning of the Month, Suzuki officially started selling its Jimny 5 door which means they will start sharing the road with their conventionally sized counterpart. Here is how much it will cost in South Africa and what is on offer.
Offering more practicality without compromising significantly on the recipe of a compact and affordable off-roader, Suzuki’s Jimny 5 door has finally hit showroom floors across South Africa. The GLX is differentiated from its more affordable GL counterpart courtesy of side and curtain airbags, climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control and electronically retractable mirrors to name a few interior features. On the outside, the GLX also offers a light sensor, LED headlights and front fog lamps as well as a camera for the park distance control system. All of this makes the GL weigh in slightly less at 1 185 kg in comparison to the manual GLX at 1 200 kg and the auto variant at 1 215 kg.
