Tata Motors SA has updated its 207 Di Worker single-cab bakkie, adding a few cosmetic enhancements as well as new seats.
The one-ton workhorse retains its flat-floored, dropside load-box.
But the exterior now features decals (along the side and on the bonnet) and new-look wheel covers. Inside, Tata has added fresh cloth-trimmed bucket seats it describes as “comfortable”.
Of course, Tata emphasises that this workhorse is aimed squarely at the business community, with “no pretences about being a transport alternative to a passenger car”.
The single-cab is powered by a 3,0-litre turbo-diesel engine worth 52 kW and 225 N.m of torque, sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. The price? R169 995…
