The Toyota Corolla Cross will be heading to the South African market in a few months. The local arm of the Japanese brand has now provided a detailed break-down of what features will be standard throughout each trim and how much these will cost.
Kicking off the range of the new Toyota Corolla Cross will be the Xi trim, with a price tag of R349 900, which boast colour coding of select trimmings, power-adjustable and auto-retractable door mirrors, LED taillamps with auto-on controls, four cupholders in the cabin, stowage binnacles, a 60/40 fold rear bench and a multifunction steering wheel. The trim is further supported by cruise control, air conditioning, a 12-volt power outlet, three USB ports, all electric windows and a multi-information display. This model will be sold exclusively with the naturally aspirated 1,8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine.
The Toyota Corolla Cross Xs will come standard with LED headlamps, park distance control and rain-sensing wipers. Within the cabin, leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control and a TFT display for the instrument cluster is added. This model also adopts the touchscreen infotainment system with a reverse camera display and two additional USB ports. This trim will be available with the naturally aspirated engine at R390 100 and a hybrid powertrain at R413 000.
The top-spec Toyota Corolla Cross Xr model will boast a number of additional convenience and safety features such as adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane trace assist and a pre-collision system. It also wears a larger set of 18-inch alloy wheels. For the base engine, a price tag of R425 400 has been confirmed while the Hybrid will set you back R448 300.
All models are driven by the brand’s CVT and come as standard with a six-service/90 000 km plan and three-year/100 000 km warranty. All hybrid models carry an eight-year warranty for the battery as well.
