The Toyota Fortuner has been given a set of specification upgrades for 2022. Changes to the model include new features to all grades which currently consists of the 2,4 and 2,8 GD-6 models.
2,8 Toyota Fortuner models receive an upgrade to dual-zone climate control while the range-topping VX grade inherits a Panoramic View Monitor with selectable view. An upgrade to the 11-speaker JBL Premium Audio system is also included while on-board satellite navigation has been omitted due to the preferred usage of smartphone apps via the Apple CarPlay/Android Auto functionality.
All Toyota Fortuner models now also boast an enhanced Smart Entry system with additional security measures. In addition, VX variants receive additional functionality to the Toyota Safety Sense system in the form of Blind-Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
The colour line-up on the 2.4 and 2.8 models remain unchanged at seven options. On VX models, Pearl White is replaced by the new Platinum White Pearl, now offering eight exterior hues to choose from.
The 2,4 and 2,8 GD-6 engines continue their duties. The 2,4 GD-6 produces 110 kW and 400 N.m and are available in both six-speed manual and six-speed auto transmission configurations while all 2,8 variants are paired exclusively with the self-shifter, producing 150 kW and 500 N.m.
