Toyota South Africa Motors has made a few changes to its range-topping RAV4 VX derivatives, including adding more safety kit.
The two VX derivatives in the five-model local line-up – one employing a 2,5-litre four-cylinder petrol mill (132 kW/233 N.m) and the other using a 2,2-litre diesel engine (110 kW/340 N.m) – now feature lane change assist as standard, which includes blind spot monitoring. Also new is the cross traffic alert function.
Other updates on VX models include the addition of foot-well lighting and deletion of the once-standard sunroof.
In terms of pricing, there has been an average increase across the range of around R5 000 per model.
