Updated Hyundai Creta rendered based on teaser images
The updated Hyundai Creta has been teased for an official unveiling in the next few weeks with a sketch of what the compact crossover will look like. We now have a clearer image of this product thanks to a new set of renders.
Penned by Kolesa, the updated Hyundai Creta shows off the dynamic new face as seen on the new Tucson and Santa Cruz bakkie. This includes the futuristic grille that houses the LED headlamps, supported by a large pair of fog- and spotlamp clusters as well as a lower air intake and anti-scuff plating.
At the profile, the updated Hyundai Creta looks to maintain its rugged crossover look thanks to a raised ground clearance, plastic cladding wheel arches and a sleek set of roof rails. Also note the satin silver trimming that runs along the roofline and down the C-pillar. The rear stays in-line with the current design with its abstract taillamp cluster that is accentuated by a hatch-mounted spoiler and faux-diffuser.
The updated Hyundai Creta has been slotted in for a 2022 release and is rumoured to retain its current engine offering which includes the naturally aspirated 1,5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine mated to a six-speed manual or CVT and a turbocharged 1,4-litre four-cylinder mill with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
