Mitsubishi’s updated Pajero Sport, offered in both 2WD and 4WD configurations, is powered by a 2.4-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine outputting 135 kW and 430 N.m (opposed to the pre-facelift model’s 133 kW/430 N.m powerplant). Mitsubishi states that the new powerplant has been optimised for power, durability and acceleration. The new powerplant has more power and offers improved fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emissions. Mated to the 2.4-litre four-pot is a six-speed automatic transmission. The Pajero Sport also includes the Super Select system, which allows for the ability to switch from 2H to 4H. Additionally, the new system offers 4HLc and 4LLc configurations for improved off-road mobility.
