The upcoming Volkswagen T7 Transporter’s interior has been teased as the most flexible system that the brand’s people carrier has ever had. The brand’s official Twitter account posted a video in which head of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Design Albert Kirzinger details what to expect from the T7’s cabin.

First and foremost, Kirzinger reveals that the Volkswagen T7 Transporter will be practical and can be used flexibly thanks to a new seating system. Asking the question “what makes the Bulli the Bulli?” (Bulli being the informal nickname of VW’s historic bus), he confirms that the van’s interior will be “wonderfully practical”.
With the Volkswagen T7 Transporter, owners will be able to configure the seating positions with ease in order to access larger cargo such as sports equipment or mountain bikes. He goes on to state that “With these new seats everything is possible…”
The sketches shown in the video portray a spacey cabin for the Volkswagen T7 Transporter that is accentuated by a large glass roof which covers close to the entirety of the interior. This is divided by a conventional sunroof that sits atop the driver and passenger seats. Additionally, sliding windows have been applied to the rear sliding doors. It also appears that the brand’s new design steering wheel will be used here.
The video that follows shows a single seat in the second row being seamlessly adjusted to the third row, displaying how simple and configurable the T7’s interior intends to be when the production-ready model is revealed.
