The special edition Storm derivative is based on the 1,4i Trendline hatchback (which means it employs a 63 kW/132 N.m heart), but gains a neat collection of styling upgrades.
So, what exactly do you score for the extra R7 800? Well, plenty of exterior trimmings, including front fog-lights (with chrome surrounds), 15-inch “Tosa” alloy (painted in metallic black), glossy black side-mirrors, obligatory “Storm” decals down the side and cheeky chrome-tipped dual exhaust exits.
Inside, VW SA says the dashboard features a two-tone finish (in grey and something the brand describes as “ceramique”). The air vents, centre console, lower parcel trays and cup holder also feature this mystery hue (unfortunately, no images of the cabin have been provided).
The steering wheel, gear-lever gaiter and handbrake lever, meanwhile, gain the leather treatment, as well as grey stitching. The roof lining is an anthracite colour, while the seats are apparently “three-tone”…
