Wait, what? Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupé lathered in off-road goodies…

By: CAR magazine

The Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupé isn’t the sort of SUV you’d typically takes far off the beaten track. But Russian tuning house TopCar Design apparently has other ideas, creating this GLE Coupé 4×4 Inferno.

Commissioned for a private buyer in Sweden, the vehicle has been fitted with a comprehensive list of off-roading equipment. This includes a roof rack with an LED bar, a solid metal front bar with a Warn winch and KC HiLiTES spotlamps, and a rear-mounted spare wheel accompanying a trailer hitch.

Extra ruggedness is added by the dark grey beadlock alloy wheels, which wear Nitto Grappler off-road tyres. Underguard protection has been added front and rear, while the ride height has been increased to allow for more enthusiastic off-roading.

Although TopCar Design has not specified, it seems this build makes use of the firm’s existing 4×4 Inferno package. It’s also understood no significant changes were made to the cabin.
