Performance. Innovation. Speed. These are words closely tied to the world of Formula 1. Renault thought that it would be best to take this philosophy and apply it to its LCV range (which includes the Kangoo, Trafic and Master).
Unlike the ballistic Espace F1 Concept built in 1994, these vehicles don’t source any mechanical parts from their F1 muse. Instead, they use livery inspired by the current Renault RS16 car driven by Kevin Magnussen and Jolyon Palmer.
This styling package comprises black grills and bumpers, satin-black Renault logos, door mirrors and alloy wheels. Plenty of trademark yellow-gold trim has also been added, on the grille, doors, fog lights and hub caps.
The interior, meanwhile, receives a satin-finish central console, a leather steering wheel and special floor mats.
Renault Sport will be using this line of vehicles at the track, but not for competition purposes. These LCVs will be used as shuttles to take guests of the team track side at F1 events. It will also be used for team logistics.
Customers are expected to have access to these LCVs in Europe, early next year. The Renault LCVs aren’t currently available in South Africa, so don’t expect to see any on our roads.
