Another year, another boutique European supercar. This time it comes in the shape of the FV Frangivento Sorpasso from Italy which is due to be delivered to its first customers by July this year. The hypercar will be available in two trims and feature a new “avatar driving system”. The Sorpasso also offers a conclusive customisation program which customers will work side-by-side with stylists.
Frangivento will produce the Sorpasso in two trims; Stradale and GTXX. Both models will use a V10, of which displacement has not been declared, with different states of tune. In the naturally aspirated Stradale, it delivers 449 kW while the supercharged GTXX pushes 625 kW. Both derivatives feature all-wheel drive and boast a claimed mass of 1 300 kg. Performance figures are only available for the GTXX which will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2,9 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 9,3 seconds and reach a top speed of 345 km/h.
This new performance car will be designed and built in Turin by Giorgio Pirolo and Paolo Mancini alongside its Asfanè hypercar. Pictured here is the Sorpasso in Stradale trim which boasts a Hermes Grey paint job. The GTXX, while still roadworthy, will be more oriented to track use with it adopting GT3 principles.
Both versions of the Sorpasso will be equipped with interiors boasting precious materials such as leather, sourced from Turin-based atelier of Mario Levi Group, and Alcantara. The cabin was designed to translate a distinctly sporty feel but adopts minimalist cues and obsessive attention to detail.
According to Frangivento, the Sorpasso has been given a high level intelligence thanks to the adoption of the “eeve.ai” artificial intelligence technology created by Sistemevo. This integrates an avatar driving assistant as an option which acts as an intelligent co-driver with customisable human features. This feature can be interacted with using natural language just like one would with a travel companion.
The FV Frangivento Sorpasso will also be widely customisable. The boutique company offers two personal programs, Sviluppo and Ego, which last 30 days and allows the customer to work side-by-side with the stylists to create their own car.
