As you’re no doubt aware, Volkswagen no longer makes the Scirocco. But that hasn’t stopped a digital artist from dreaming up a new version, complete with styling cues from the recently revealed Arteon R.
Production of the third-generation coupé ceased back in 2017, but the digital artist behind the @superrenderscars Instagram account has created a fresh version.
While the render retains the general shape of the final Scirocco generation, the artist skilfully grafted on the Arteon R’s facia, before adding the new model’s taillamps, too.
So, will VW revive the Scirocco nameplate? Well, the signs haven’t been good. But if it were to happen, expect the two-door model to return in electric rather than combustion-engine form, running on the Wolfsburg-based company’s MEB platform.
