Novitec are experts when it comes to subtly increasing performance and matching the exterior with an equally modest upgrade. The Novitec Portofino M does just this with 62 kW more power and a top speed of 325 km/h, advisably with the retractable roof locked in place.
This isn’t meant to be a performanced crazed Prancing Horse but rather a model focused around comfortable and elegant grand touring. Fortunately, the German tuner has retained some of that essence in their exterior upgrade of the Novitec Portofino M which includes carbon fibre details added to most facades of the cabrio model.
This includes new trim for the front air intakes, bonnet mounted outlets and a subtle rear lip spoiler. Carbon fibre mirror covers also replace the original painted parts while updated sills complete the side profile of the bodywork. New staggered 21-inch rims sit at the front while the rear boasts 22-inch alloys of the same design. While it looks equally as elegant as its stock counterpart we can’t imagine it would be as comfortable since it is wrapped in 255/30 ZR 21 and 315/25 ZR 22 rubber respectively. To add to the improved stance is a set of 35 mm lowering springs.
In terms of performance, the Novitec Portofino M gets a healthy dose of power which now makes the 3,9-litre V8 churn out 518 kW as opposed to the 456 kW in stock guise. The 122 N.m improvement which now has torque rated at 822 N.m enables the cabrio to sprint to 100 km/h from standstill in only 3,1 seconds while Novitec have upped the top speed to 325 km/h. This is all compliments of Novitec’s plug-and-play N-Tronic module that adjusts injection mapping, boost pressure and ignition control. When it comes to the interior, Novitec mention that it can be modified according to client specifications.
