Do you want all the drama and intensity that comes with a car like the Porsche 911 GT3, but without the showoff factor? That’s now possible thanks to a new Touring Package that’s been introduced as an option on the latest 992 series.
To give the 911 GT3 a more understated appearance, the Touring Package deletes the huge rear wing, however in order to compensate for the extra downforce that it would have brought, Porsche has fitted an automatically deploying rear spoiler. Also setting the more elegant Touring Package apart are high-gloss anodised aluminium trim strips that surround the side windows, as well as a ‘GT3 touring’ logo on the rear grille lid.
In the cabin Porsche has gone for a dark theme, with black leather covering the steering wheel rim, gear selector, centre console and door panels. Black fabric adorns the centre seat sections and this colour is also applied to the headliner. Finally, Porsche Design is also offering a unique timepiece for the GT3 Touring, featuring a movement with flyback function.
The rest of the Touring Package model is as per the regular, and wilder looking 911 GT3, which means you’ll find a 4-litre normally aspirated 4-litre straight-six engine under the bonnet, which revs all the way to 9000 r/min. The engine produces 375 kW and 469 N.m, and the car can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3,4 seconds, according to Porsche, and reach a top speed of 318 km/h.
Porsche says the Touring Package for the 911 GT3 can be ordered at no extra cost.
