Pricing! Audi SA launches two-year service plan for older vehicles…

By: CAR magazine

Audi has announced a new two-year service plan for vehicles aged from six to 13 years old.

The Ingolstadt-based firm’s local arm says its new “AudiSmart” service plan can be purchased for vehicles which fall outside of the standard maintenance plans, with a maximum mileage of 270 000 km.

The plan covers two years or 30 000 km, whichever comes first, and includes two minor oil-change services at what Audi describes as a “significantly discounted” price.

So, how much are we looking at here? Well, Audi SA says the plan is priced “from R4 800”. We’re guessing the final figure will be model dependent (see update below).

The company says the plan can “also be topped up at any Audi dealership in order to cover a major service need”. Furthermore, the AudiSmart service plan includes “comprehensive roadside assistance” under the Audi Assist umbrella.

“The AudiSmart service offering allows older Audi models to continue being serviced or return their servicing history at a franchised Audi dealership which prides itself in offering the best and most comprehensive care for an Audi,” said Hassan Salie, head of aftersales and dealer development at Audi SA.

“There are many, older Audi vehicles in the market which are not covered by the Audi Freeway Plan or Freeway Plan Extension. The AudiSmart service plan thereby gives those drivers an affordable Audi servicing option based on experienced labour and brand assurance,” he added.

UPDATE: We’ve since discovered detailed pricing for the AudiSmart plans:
