At Supercar Fest The Runway 2025, British engineering firm RML Group formally introduced its P39 hypercar prototype. This event served as the limited-run vehicle’s public debut, showcasing its dynamic capabilities and celebrating RML’s 40th anniversary.

At its core, the P39 is based on the Porsche 992.1 Turbo S, but RML has taken that solid foundation and transformed it into something far more aggressive without losing everyday usability. A fully carbon-fibre body, complete with active aerodynamic elements, allows the P39 to adapt between road and track duties. An electronically controlled rear wing adjusts to boost downforce by 24 percent in Track mode, while a DRS system reduces drag by 23 percent on straights.
Up front, an active splitter extends by 75 mm for sharper turn-in. Combined with detailed airflow management and vented arches, these changes increase downforce to 6 500 N in Track mode—more than four times what the standard Turbo S produces—while still maintaining comfortable road manners.

The chassis has been reworked to match. The track is wider, the ride height lower, and new suspension hardware helps manage the balance between road comfort and circuit control. RML-developed dampers offer three driver-selectable settings, while a hydraulic lift system manages clearance when needed. There’s also a recalibrated rear-wheel steer system and unique alloy wheels—20-inch up front, 21-inch at the rear—fitted with customer-chosen tyres.
Power comes from an extensively modified twin-turbo flat-six engine, developed with Litchfield Motors. Peak output is 676 kW and 955 N.m in its most aggressive mode, with Normal and Wet settings dialling things back to suit fast road driving or slippery conditions. A bespoke Inconel exhaust valve—the largest ever on a road-going flat-six—contributes to both performance and sound.
RML will build just 39 units of the P39, with the first UK customer deliveries expected in late summer 2025. The P39 is next set to appear at the Supercar Driver Secret Meet at Silverstone on the 17th of June and again at the Silverstone Festival from August 22 to 24.
