The Mitsubishi ASX is due to be replaced with an all-new model that is scheduled to arrive in 2023. We now have some idea what the upcoming replacement might look like thanks to a digital impression that sources inspiration from inside information.
The render shown here, as supplied by Kolesa maintains Mitsubishi’s advanced Dynamic Shield design language but adopts a curvier set of lines throughout all angles. At the front, a large gloss black grille has been applied and is separated by two chrome inserts. Lighting takes form of a thin LED strip and a three-level foglamp structure.
At the side, the Mitsubishi ASX render shows off a set of muscular lines through the wheel arches and doors while a sleek look is provided by the floating roof design. The overhangs have also been kept short to keep it in the compact crossover segment.
There is little information regarding the next Mitsubishi ASX but Motor.es suggest that it could share a platform with the Renault Captur. As a result, it will start competing in the B-SUV segment and be supported by Renault’s ‘E-Tech’ plug-in hybrid technology.
The new Mitsubishi ASX has supposedly been confirmed by the brand to the different European divisions, with its debut scheduled for 2023. It is understood that there will be no all-wheel drive in any of the versions, with front-wheel drive being the preferred system.
