The folks over at Auto Bild have released a rendering showing what the long-rumoured Hyundai Tucson N might look like.
Set to take on the likes of the 235 kW Volkswagen Tiguan R in the performance crossover segment, the Tucson N is tipped to gain a turbocharged 2,5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine developing more than 250 kW. Well, that's if you believe the July 2020 report out of South Korea that claimed the Tucson N would see production “within the next two years”.
A second report from two months later, however, claimed the 2,5-litre unit would make a somewhat tamer 213 kW.
Of course, we already have an idea of the styling thanks to the release of the Tucson N Line.
Still, Auto Bild’s illustration shows the imagined N-badged Tucson wearing the performance division’s signature blue paintwork, along with red detailing (including on the brake callipers). The grille, meanwhile, has been finished in black and the front bumper gains larger air intakes.
