A new rumour regarding a special limited edition BMW M4 has surfaced with a supposed introduction date of 2022. It’s understood that this could be highly anticipated CSL but with the option of the manual transmission only and several additional options fitted.

According to a statement posted by an authoritative insider on G80.Bimmerpost, “A very special limited edition BMW M4 will be produced for just a few months starting 11/22. It will be mostly configured like the CSL but with manual transmission, several options (comfort access, parking sensors, electric seats) deleted, and the forged wheels off G81.”

The poster goes on to say that they don’t know what the exact model designation will be but a second poster states that, according to a dealer, it could bear the 50 Jahre celebration model moniker and have no relation to the CSL badge.

BMWBlog goes on to state that the special limited edition BMW M4 will be more than just another M4 as 2022 will be a big year for the Bavarian marque’s motorsport division. It also anticipates that the upcoming product will be extremely limited in numbers and quite unique.
