Yes, it’s another teaser, this time for the upcoming Subaru Forester set to make its first official appearance at the New York Auto Show on March 28th this year. Much like the image sent out by Toyota for the 2019 RAV4 unveiling at the same event, the teaser image in question does not reveal much. We can, however, identify the Forester’s restyled taillights extending onto the hatch while sporting Subaru’s signature C-shaped light design.
Very little information regarding the new Forester has been made clear yet we do know the vehicle is set to be underpinned by Subaru’s new global platform which we at CAR have already experienced in the latest XV and Impreza.
With this new chassis employed, one could assume that four-cylinder boxer engines, a continuously variable transmission, and symmetrical all-wheel-drive could form part of the vehicles drivetrain specification. The addition of Subaru’s EyeSight safety technology to the next-gen Forester could also be expected.
