The Suzuki Swift facelift has been launched in South Africa. We have pricing for the complete range (sans the Sport which is sold as a separate model by Suzuki SA). The range mimics that of the pre-facelifted model but with some visual changes both inside and out as well as a number of alterations to the list of standard features.
Mechanically, there have been no changes. This means that all Suzuki Swift models make use of the naturally aspirated 1,2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which pushes 61 kW and 112 N.m of torque to the front wheels.
The entry-level 1,2 GA, available exclusively with the five-speed manual, boasts an asking price of R180 900; up R4 000 from the pre-facelift. For this, it adds new wheel covers and rear parking sensors as standard.
With the GL, available with a five-speed manual (R199 900) or AMT (R214 900), parking sensors, fog lamps, an audio system with USB and AUX inputs, a tachometer and electrically adjustable mirrors have been added alongside the option to spec the dual-tone roof.
The flagship GLX, available with the same transmissions as the GL, replaces the standard air conditioning system with climate control, adds keyless access with a start/stop button and replaces the 14-inch alloy wheels with polished 15-inches. Furthermore, the GLX gets electric folding side mirrors. The manual has been listed for R218 900 and the auto R234 900.
All derivatives come standard with a two-year/30 000km service plan and a five-year/200 000 km promotional warranty.
