In 2001, Techart presented the first GTstreet 911, based on the 996 generation Turbo. Since then, their signature and rather left of field customization has gained worldwide recognition for its “unrivalled symbiosis of everyday usability and uncompromised track performance.”
Limited to just 87 examples, the new Techart GTstreet R is based on the 992 generation 911 Turbo and Turbo S. Techart claim that their mission is to “make the perfect even better’ while compromising on neither function nor individuality.
Tobias Beyer, Managing Director of Techart Automobildesign GmbH said, “Since 1987, TECHART customers worldwide have an almost unlimited range of options for customizing and refining their Porsche vehicles. Based on our founding year, the GTstreet R program will be limited to 87 units.”
As an homage to past generations, the GTstreet R features an expressive carbon fibre rear spoiler, one of the many lightweight components that characterise the impressive exterior of the Techart GTstreet R. Another striking design element are the carbon fibre Techart Aero discs which cover the wheels.
The package features an aerodynamic package, Techart sports exhaust system and Techart Formula VI forged wheels, as well as an array of performance and interior upgrades available for 911 Turbo and Turbo S models.
Power outputs of the flat-six motor have been raised to a whopping 588 kW and 950 N.m with the top speed now 350 km/h.
Finished in a combination of carbon fibre and Alcantara, the interior of the modded 911 is said to offer a combination of refinement, sportiness and individuality. An almost infinite range of options is available, and customers start their journey by configuring their vehicles on the Techart online configurator.
