Ford and Fisher-Price have come together to develop an interesting gift idea ahead of Christmas: a convertible Mustang for children.
Given the ‘Stang’s infamous reputation when it comes to cornering, this child-size version features a few interesting safety features.
Yes, traction control and stability monitoring (with a tilt sensor) make this electric Mustang more manageable for minors to drive. Parents can also limit its top speed to between two and 8 km/h.
Ford says the tiny model will be available in either pink or blue.
Other interesting inclusions range from a digital speedometer, a battery level monitor and a built-in sound system that can play a recording of the real-life Mustang GT’s V8 engine. It also features an auxiliary port allowing kids to play their own music while driving.
The price of the Mustang Power Wheel is $360 (around R5 100) so parents are going to have to dig deep if they want to put a smile on their kids’ faces this Christmas…
