Changan, formerly known as Chana, will reenter the South African market in 2025 with a selection of vehicles. Saudi Arabian distributor Jameel Motors will import the vehicles to SA, with the portfolio covering the CS75 Pro SUV, the Alsvin compact sedan, and Hunter bakkie. The latter is essentially a rebadged Peugeot Landtrek, given the joint venture between Changan and PSA (Stellantis). Deepal, Changan’s New Energy Vehicle arm, will also make landfall in SA with the S07. Overseas, it is available as a full EV or Range Extender (think BMW i3 Rex). These two brands are expected to commence local sales in Q4 2025.
