Another Chinese brand that’s relatively familiar to South Africans, Foton offers a range of vehicles including bakkies, buses, and trucks – powered by either diesel engines or electric motors. The Tunland G7 bakkie was introduced to the local market in 2024, with the range comprising both double and single cabs. Power is supplied by a 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine, with every derivative benefitting from the full supply of 120 kW and 390 N.m. The entry-level rear-wheel drive TL single- and double-cab models are equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox, while the TL double cab, along with the rest of the lineup, boasts an eight-speed automatic transmission.
