Toyota has officially confirmed that it will reveal the highly-anticipated Land Cruiser 300 next Wednesday, June 9. The company’s Middle Eastern division revealed this in a brief YouTube video and also released a teaser pic of the large new grille that will characterise the upcoming 4×4.
As previously reported, the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 will no longer be offered with V8 power. However, there is certainly some consolation on the powertrain front. According to an allegedly leaked spec sheet, Toyota will offer a 3.3-litre V6 turbodiesel that produces 225 kW and 700 N.m, as well as a 3.5-litre V6 turbopetrol that’s good for 305 kW and 650 N.m. Other rumours have also mentioned the current normally aspirated 4,0-litre V6 petrol engine soldiering on at the base of the range, and others suggest that hybrid-electric will be part of the mix.

Interestingly, the aforementioned leaked documents also state that the first variants of the new Land Cruiser 300 will arrive in South African dealerships at the end of July.
A number of reports suggest that the SUV will retain its ladder-frame chassis and solid rear axle configuration. There is also said to be a sportier variant on the cards, featuring an all-new suspension setup and bold body kit.
All will be revealed on June 9, and you can watch the live unveiling below:
