As far as the latest-generation Toyota Supra goes, the new A91-CF Edition is the most exclusive version yet. Sadly it is not destined for South Africa or other world markets as Toyota is only building 600 of them and they’re all going to North America.
What are we missing out on then? The CF in its name stands for carbon-fibre, from which the bespoke front splitter and side rockers are made. The carbon-fibre infusion continues round back, where we see a unique ‘duckbill’ spoiler and lower canards. This body kit is not just for show, however, as Toyota says it improves both downforce and overall stability.
The A91-CF Edition also boasts matte-black 19-inch alloy wheels, while the available colour palette includes Matte-Gray Phantom, Absolute Zero White and Nitro Yellow.
Buyers can also look forward to an exclusive interior featuring a red and black colour scheme and plenty of Alcantara and leather. Carbon fibre cabin garnishes and sport pedals are also part of the deal here.
There are no performance mods to speak of, meaning that power comes from the familiar and recently upgraded BMW-sourced 3-litre straight-six that produces 285 kW and 495 N.m, and which is paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
Interestingly, buyers of the Toyota Supra A91-CF Edition also receive a year’s complimentary membership to the National Auto Sport Association, including a high performance driving event with expert instruction.
