Meet DP Motorsport’s latest creation: a 964 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 with design cues inspired by the original 1963 model. It’s dubbed the “Speedy Irishman” thanks to its Irish-green paint.
The body of the 964 has been widened by 25 mm on each side and fitted with a set of 255/45 R17 front and 255/40 R17 rear forged Fuchs wheels, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport rubber. The wider body panels are fashioned from carbon and Kevlar-reinforced plastic.
The German tuner has also added some flair to the interior, which has been equipped with a pair of Recaro sports seats upholstered in brown leather with a “shepherd’s check” pattern. Beige boucle carpeting, a Prototipo steering wheel by Momo, a wooden gearshift knob and the Porsche Classic infotainment system are also included, while Alcantara has been used to finish the dashboard.
The suspension has been reworked as well, with a set of KW Clubsport struts and Unibal strut bearings among the revisions. Perhaps more importantly, however, is the fact the 3,8-litre flat-six engine has been tweaked to deliver 239 kW and fitted with a G50 five-speed transmission (and an RS differential).
Including the base vehicle, the Speedy Irishman will set you back some €198 000 (R3 315 000).
